At FiveJays Dog Club, we are passionate about the training, care and welfare of dogs, and promoting responsible dog ownership. We believe that financial circumstances should not prevent anyone or their dog from accessing dog training and advice on dog health and welfare. For this reason, for those on a low income, we operate 100% concession rate for our membership, as well as free dog training and hardship funds.

Concession Membership
If you are on a low income, you can receive 100% free membership to FiveJays Dog Club. You will receive all the same benefits as a paying member.
You can qualify for a concessionary membership if you are in receipt of any of the following:
- Universal Credit
- Housing Benefit
- Pension Credit
How to Apply
To apply, simply follow our standard online membership application process. Tick Yes, when asked “Are You Applying Concession Rate Membership” option.
To complete your application, you will need to upload proof of your entitlement. We accept a photo or scan of your most recent benefit award letter or a screenshot of your online Universal Credit account statement showing your name and current entitlement. For Data Protection we can only accept these, by you uploading these online on the application form, we can not accept them by post or email.
If you encounter any problems or have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Our Confidentiality Guarantee

Free Dog Training
Since June 2026, all FiveJays dog training classes have been no fixed charge to attend. Combined with our free concessionary membership for those on a low income, this truly means that every person and every dog is able to access high-quality training and support for responsible dog ownership, for free.
Voluntary Donations
Those who wish to, and are in a financial position to do so, have the option of making a voluntary donation at our training classes. However, we want to stress that this is completely optional and strictly voluntary; there is absolutely no obligation or requirement to pay anything.
Special Events and Workshops
While this free access applies to all regular training classes offered by FiveJays Dog Club, our other activities—such as special events, educational guest seminars and workshops—may have a charge attached to help us cover running costs. Where this is the case, full details of the pricing, along with the available concession rates, will always be published clearly on the specific event information page.
If you have been granted Concession Membership you will automatically be granted concession rates for events and educational workshops.

The ‘Pay It Forward’ Circle
We believe that no matter your circumstances, every dog owner can face unexpected hardships. Whether it is stretching a bag of kibble to get to the end of the month, or facing an emergency vet bill, the pressure can be overwhelming.
While we always advocate for comprehensive pet insurance, we know that even finding the money for an insurance excess can catch the most organised of owners off guard.
To help, we facilitate The ‘Pay It Forward’ Circle.
How It Works: This scheme is completely separate from our main charity funds. Instead, FiveJays acts as a bridge connecting owners in need with a private network of compassionate individuals who want to help.
If you find yourself in difficulty, you reach out to us. We then contact our network of registered donors. If a donor is able to help, they will pay your vet or food supplier directly.
- 100% Confidential: The identities of both the donor and the recipient remain strictly private.
- An Outright Gift: This is not a loan. There is no interest, no contract, and no debt.
- The Power of Kindness: There is only one request. We simply ask that if your financial situation improves in the future, you consider “paying it forward” by making a donation to the charity’s main Health & Welfare Fund to help another dog in need.
Please Read Before Reaching Out:
The ‘Pay It Forward’ Circle is a community-led initiative facilitated by FiveJays, operating completely independently of our regulated charity funds. It is only open to FiveJays Dog Club members and in the areas which we operate. Because this scheme relies entirely on the personal generosity and availability of individual donors within our private network at any given time, assistance is not guaranteed.
Whether support can be provided depends fully on the unique circumstances of each situation and the availability of a matching donor. Regrettably, it is not always possible for a donor to step forward and help.
How to Request Support: If you find yourself in need, please click the button below to email us. To help us process your request as efficiently as possible, please ensure you include:
- A reliable phone number where we can reach you.
- As much detail and information as possible regarding your current situation and the specific help required (e.g., vet estimates, food needs).
Our team understands how stressful these situations can be, and we always aim to reply to your email as quickly as possible.
