Our friendly club welcomes all breeds and ages—no prior experience is necessary to get started.

We focus on Passive Indication, a style of training that mimics professional airport sniffer dogs, providing your pet with expert-level mental stimulation while you both have a brilliant time learning together. Taught by expert trainers.

Masterclass Session: Held on the first Thursday of every month from 6:00 PM to 6:45 PM

Search Simulations: During the third week of the month.

We use Passive Indication—the same clever “freeze” technique used by airport sniffer dogs—to create an addictive, rewarding game that dogs of every breed and age absolutely adore.

It’s the ultimate mental workout that lets your dog do what they were born to do: hunt and find! Whether they are tracking down a scent hidden in a suitcase, tucked inside a car, or even on a person, the “find” is always celebrated with their favourite treats or toys. As you both play your way through our six exciting award levels, you’ll be amazed at the focus and calm your dog develops through this natural, high-energy brain game.

Scent & Search Training Classes

We keep our training varied and exciting with a two-part monthly schedule designed to progress your skills through our six certificate awards.

Masterclass Session: Held on the first Thursday of every month, these sessions focus on learning new techniques and progressing through the basics then onto search styles and levels.

Search Simulations: During the third week of the month, we head out as a group to various local venues to practice searches in real-world environments like vehicles, rooms, and outdoor spaces. Under safe expert instruction and
guidance.

We host our Masterclass sessions the first Thursday of the month from 6:00 pm – 6.45pm, ensuring year-round fun regardless of the British weather:

October to May (Indoors): We train at the Whittlesey Indoor Bowls Club Hall (194-198 Station Rd, Whittlesey, Peterborough PE7 2HA).

Summer Months (Outdoors): We move to our secure private training paddock on Ramsey Road, Whittlesey.

Master Your Training

The FiveJays Training Passports

With 40 years of expertise, FiveJays Dog Training Club ensures your progress is clear, consistent, and rewarding. Our Training Passport Awards system breaks your journey into six levels: Foundation, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond.

Transparent Progress & Quality
We don’t hold you back. You and your trainer use the passport to track milestones in real-time, signing off exercises as you master them. To ensure the highest standards, an independent assessor occasionally visits classes to request random demonstrations. For our advanced levels, certain exercises are signed off by an independent examiner under competition-style conditions.

Start Your Journey
Complete a level by the end of the month to earn your certificate and optional rosette. You will receive a printed passport at your first session, but you can preview the requirements by downloading the PDF version in the members portal.
