Every great journey begins with a single step—or in our case, a single pawprint.
Long before our formal evolution into a charity, the foundations of our family were already being laid. Established in 1986 by Marion House, FiveJays Dog Training Club stands as one of the longest-running providers of expert canine education in the Peterborough and Fenland area. Our club’s name carries a deep legacy of excellence, taken directly from Marion’s own Royal Kennel Club registered Kennel Name.
What began decades ago as a modest, passionate gathering of local dog enthusiasts has matured into a vital community institution. As a highly respected Championship Show judge, breeder, and exhibitor, Marion brought a lifetime of elite experience to our foundation, building a club that has spent over forty years raising the benchmark for local canine health, welfare, and training.
Over the last four decades, FiveJays has been a trusted constant across our local fields, community halls, and training paddocks—welcoming thousands of wagging tails into our family and guiding generations of handlers.

Evolving for the Future of Dogs!
Anyone who knows Marion knows that even after forty years of dedication, she will never let anything stand in the way of her helping dogs! As we proudly celebrated our Ruby Anniversary in June 2026, it was the perfect moment to look ahead to the next forty years of FiveJays.
Driven by that unstoppable spirit, a small group of passionate individuals gathered and agreed to stand alongside Marion as Trustees, officially formalising our evolution into a charity. Following our inaugural meeting early the next month, this transition marked a thrilling new chapter.
While our roots run deep, we have always been progressive, and as the world changes, the challenges facing dogs and their owners change too.
Becoming a charity allows us to do so much more; it secures the future of our facilities, enables us to offer free and subsidised dog training classes to families facing hardship, and powers a vital new objective to better support dog health and welfare through emergency veterinary grants, assistance and dog rescue support.
We are not just committed to continuing what we do well—we are determined to build on Marion’s extraordinary legacy.
